The men were shot and their bodies dumped on Lanarkshire waste ground.

More than 21 years after their bodies were found on a Lanarkshire dirt track the murders of John Hall and David McIntosh remain unsolved.A huge investigation was mobilised following the grim discovery at an old scrap yard, near a go-karting arena on Merryton Road, Larkhall, on Tuesday, October 2, 2001.The case was initially investigated by Strathclyde Police before it merged with forces across the country to create Police Scotland.

The police enquiry was extended to Gretna Green after a sighting of them and Mr McIntosh's black Volkswagen Golf at a dog track before their deaths.
