A family court sitting in Iyaganku, on Friday, ordered the remand of Emilien Salingue, a French national, in a correctional centre for allegedly defiling a six-year-old girl.

The judge ordered that the suspect be remanded pending legal advice from the Oyo state directorate of public prosecution . The offence was said to contravene the provisions of section 261 of the criminal law of Lagos state, 2015.
