Senator Binani had approached the court to seek judicial review of the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission to reverse her declaration as winner of the governorship election as declared by the state’s Resident Electoral Commissioner , Hudu Yunusa-Ari.
During proceedings on Wednesday, Counsel to Senator Binani told the Court that he had already filed a notice of discontinuance as directed by the plaintiff.However, in his ruling, the presiding judge of the Court, Justice Inyang Ekwo elected to dismiss the suit and accordingly dismissed it.
