Friends and family of prominent lawyer and philanthropist Tiego Moseneke have described him as a gentle soul who never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those in need.
His close friend Solly Motuba said they met more than 40 years ago, when Moseneke moved to Mamelodi in Pretoria to complete his matric.Tiego and I shared a lot of attributes, and simply hit it off and have been close ever since. As a group, we played hard but never lost sight of education … Tiego could hold a conversation knowledgeably and convincingly on any topic.
Moseneke served on the first ANC Gauteng executive after the unbanning of the party and was part of the founding national executive of the United Democratic Front. He also served as national president of the ANC’s tertiary student wing in the 1980s.
