A man has been charged with the murder of a young Glasgow dad and the attempted murder of a second man.
The incident happened on Auchinloch Street in the Springburn area at around 5.25am on Friday, April 14. 33-year-old Thomas Bowers was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 52-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.The Daily Record reports that Michael Day, 22, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court today . He is accused of murdering Mr Bowers as well as the attempted murder of the 52-year-old.
The Crown also alleges he attempted to defeat the ends of justice and was unlawfully in possession of controlled drugs. Day, of Glasgow, made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody. He is expected to make a second appearance within the next seven days.
