There were no errors by the judge.

That’s the conclusion of all three Court of Appeal judges in the case of RNC Constable Doug Snelgrove. Details of their unanimous decision to dismiss Snelgrove’s appeal were publicly released late this afternoon by the court. The ruling upholds Snelgrove’s conviction and sentence of four years in prison for sexual assault which was handed down in November.

He was found guilty of raping a woman in her apartment after driving her home in his police car from downtown St. John’s in December of 2014.It remains unclear if he will try to appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada.
