SEREMBAN: A 52-year-old salesman with a company dealing in luxury cars and motorcycles has claimed trial at the Sessions Court here to committing criminal breach of trust involving RM50,000.

Faizal Mohd Salleh entered a plea of not guilty after the charge was read to him before Judge Norshila Kamaruddin on Tuesday .

He was charged with failing to hand over the cash, payment by a customer for the purchase of a 1,200cc motorcycle from the company, to his employer.He was charged under Section 408 of the Penal Code which carries a jail term of between one and 14 years, a fine and whipping if found guilty. Deputy Public Prosecutor Muhammad Zulfikri Mohd Nasir then asked the court to set bail at RM20,000 and order the victim to surrender his passport.He also told the court he did not have a passport and wished to engage a lawyer.

Norshila then set bail at RM10,000 and ordered the accused to report at the nearest police station once a month.
