The U.S. Department of Justice announced a series of indictments targeting key leaders of the Chapitos faction of the Sinaloa Cartel. The indictments include three of the cartel’s Chinese fentanyl suppliers.

During a news conference, top leaders within the U.S. justice apparatus announced multiple indictments focusing on the Chapitos and key leaders within their network who they claim are the main drivers behind the ongoing fentanyl crisis.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the Sinaloa Cartel is one of the most powerful cartels in the world and is the main supplier of fentanyl in Mexico. Enforcement priorities for fentanyl surged due to the high number of overdoses tied to it. The drug is 50 times more potent than heroin. The DOJ claimed that fentanyl caused an opioid-related drug-overdose crisis where that drug is now the leading cause of death for Americans ages 18 to 49.

While various leaders of the Sinaloa Cartel have been indicted in the past — primarily on drug charges focusing on marijuana and cocaine — the new charges focus on fentanyl and target the leaders of the Chapitos faction. That group is reportedly led by Ivan Guzman Salazar, 40, Alfredo Guzman Salazar, 37, Joaquin Guzman Lopez, 36, and Ovidio Guzman Lopez, 33, all four are sons of imprisoned Sinaloa Cartel leader Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, the former leader of the Sinaloa Cartel.

So now the Biden Adm is admitting to having evidence that CCP is using the cartels to traffic fentanyl across the southern border to kill Americans. Without firing a single shot, 110,000 Americans per year die from accidental drug overdose. What else is Biden doing about it!!

Suppose they will bring all to the 🇺🇸 for their arraignment, right? Also, for their depositions.

But of course our weak govt agencies didn't lock up or do anything to stop the drugs and dealers, just more political ass kissing to the American people, pandering for votes by pretending they are doing something when they aren't and won't,shit the damn border and bomb the tunnels

Nice try, but nothing more than lip service.

Isn’t that the dept of injustice ? Free All J6 Political Prisoners Now

Indictments are just paperwork, I doubt anyone will be arrested and sentenced.

Good luck getting them into the United States for trials

One word: Drone strikes 1word2many

Throwing us a few bread crumbs to appease us for a while!

Too late to the party - intentionally. There's a big election on the horizon.

What will happen when ties to the CIA are discovered?

When I see the word, Sonaloa, for some reason Katie H. comes to mind.

When are they going to bomb the sites

Imagine what DoJ could do if they weren’t committing coups, destroying evidence, and persecuting moms…

Napalm the cartels.

Meaningless. One 1 member is in custody. Merely the government giving the impression they are doing something. It's Meaningless, but something. Meanwhile the drug freeway of a border is open.

Chapitos must not have bribed the right DOJ officials.

Results? No arrests and no reduction in drugs!

Our FBI and Secret Service, CIA and Border Patrol can capture tons of this poison - why not just let it go someplace in Mexican cities - and see how they react to the sudden availability of these drugs!?

Trouble in paradise? Wasn't that the cartel they gave the guns to so they could win the battle with the other cartels? And didn't that tall fellow who was at the FBI sit on the board of that bank to oversee the laundering of the money? Must be mistaken. Must have imagined it.

Killed hundreds of thousands of Americans, crickets. They are only going after a handful of people? Yeh sure, 🥜

A budget of about $250. Not sure that will do anything but grandstanding.

Right after the announcement the indicted cartel members popped the top on a Bud Lite and laughed their a**es off.

Looks like they are getting rid of the competition, same thing they have done for decades. Just like Robert Mueller did for Whitie Buldger

Los Chapitos are part of the Taco Bell value menu.

According to CDC deaths from fentanyl (made in China) rose to 71238 in 2021 that’s 195 per day. The deliberate open border policy is killing 195 of our kids every single day. This should be viewed as a chemical weapon attack and Covid (made in China) as a bio weapon attack.

Harsh sanctions for any country that kills 100,000 Americans per year.

Any indictment of the Biden family yet? What a corrupt department!

Why has it taken so long? Now secure the border.

Biden's DHS, via the current open borders policy, has done much more than any of these groups to promote & encourage fentanyl trafficking into US.

Probably a cartel that refused to pay bribes and kickbacks to Jefe Mayorkas and 'Big Guy' Lyin' Joe.

The USDOJ are just taking their competitors off the list.

When I now see the word 'indictment,' I roll my eyes and laugh.

And how are they going to enforce these indictments?

And when are they going to jail,? Nice move but it won't stop the drugs,it never has.

I keep telling my grandkids not to take candy from Latinos because I keep reading on Fox News that they are bringing fentanyl candy to kill us good Christian folks.

Competition?

Basically a strongly worded letter

Damn those things look good

US charges 28 members of Sinaloa cartel, sons of El ChapoThe Justice Department has charged 28 members of Mexico’s powerful Sinaloa cartel, including sons of notorious drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, in a sprawling fentanyl-trafficking investigation. Attorney General Merrick Garland announced the charges Friday alongside Drug Enforcement Administration chief Anne Milgram and other top federal prosecutors. The charges were filed against cartel leaders, as well alleged chemical suppliers, lab managers, fentanyl traffickers, security leaders, financiers and weapons traffickers. The indictments charge Guzman’s three sons, who are known as the Chapitos, or little Chapos, and who have earned a reputation as the more violent and aggressive faction of the cartel. What about the Americans buying these drugs. Supply and Demand? Would anything really change if this guy's job vanished?
