Abortions can only be performed past that point until 15 weeks to save a pregnant person's life, to "avert a serious risk" to the patient's health, if there is a "fatal fetal abnormality," and in cases of rape, incest or human trafficking. The bill also says that state funds cannot be used to help a person get an abortion out-of-state, and states that abortion pills can only be accessed in person.If enacted, the six-week ban would not take effect until the Florida Supreme Court rules on the
Shhh 🤫👂 hear that? That’s the sound of DeSantis’s hopes for winning in a general election 2024 being flushed down the toilet. He’s dodged this over the yrs, so I’d assumed this was the deal he made with big donors. He just lost suburban women and independents.
Just think how many lives will be saved. Abortion destroys a life, no matter what you think.
But they decided to enact the law but they know that it’s “others” who will have to enforce it. But they don’t care because “it’s a win” for their politics. Their don’t give a hoot about the consequences. They’re legislators, which means they’re untouchable.

Florida Immigrant Coalition joins Equality Florida, NAACP in asking for Florida travel boycottFlorida is proposing some of its toughest immigration laws in years, backed by Gov. Ron DeSantis. One bill proposes prosecuting legal resident who hide or transport those in the country illegally. As a result of that, another group has come out with a travel advisory for people coming to state. The Florida Immigrant Coalition wants people to know they might face problems if the law is passed. They join two other groups Equality Florida and The NAACP which has come out with similar warnings...to not come to Florida. Oh, no! Less libs moving here? That sucks. Florida is looking to pass a law that if you’re legal and you hide/aid/abet, and transfer illegals, you will be charged. I guess that will hurt the sex trafficking business. Does that mean less people will come to Florida? Yay if it does!!!

Gov. DeSantis surrogates escalate tit-for-tat versus DisneyThere’s a new salvo in the fight to control Disney World. Allies appointed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to take over the resort’s governing board are proposing a resolution to expand their authority weeks after their predecessors stripped it. Supervisors of the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District say the board has “superior authority” over land development decisions at Walt Disney World. That includes two tiny Disney-controlled cities in the district. Board members say their predecessors pulled a fast one when they voted to essentially dissolve the body’s powers before the DeSantis appointees took their seats. DeSantis’ feud with Disney started last year over the company's opposition to Florida’s so-called “Don’t Say Gay” law. Does Disney really need Florida?
