April 10, 2023Edeoga, former Chairman House Committee on Information and Member of Daily Trust Editorial Board is challenging the declaration of Peter Mbah of the Peoples Democratic Party as the winner of the election.
As the 2023 general election battle moved to court, the governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Enugu State, Chijioke Edeoga, has approached the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal to declare him the winner of the March 18 election in the state.Edeoga, former Chairman House Committee on Information and Member of Daily Trust Editorial Board is challenging the declaration of Peter Mbah of the Peoples Democratic Party as the winner of the election.
However, Edeoga in his petition alleged that the result was compromised and didn’t reflect the aspiration of voters in the State.The LP governorship candidate based his petition on the grounds that Mbah at the time of the election was not qualified to contest the election.He contends that Mbah “having presented a forged National Youth Service Corps Certificate with Certificate Number A808297 was not qualified to contest the disputed election to the office of Governor of Enugu State.

To be honest with you,I don't know who's better b/w him and Peter Mbah, but Edoga won with a landslide, I made contact with various polling unit in various LGA after that election and none was won by PDP. Even my friends I spoke with said their polling units over 200 were all LP
