Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg took America’s two-and-a-half century-old reputation as the world’s leading exponent of the principle “equal justice under law” and just “chucked it in the bin”, Sky News host James Morrow says.
Mr Morrow said in the process, Mr Bragg made the United States look like a country where “generalissimos” use the legal system to harass and neutralise their opponents. “I don’t care if you love Donald Trump or hate him, but the idea that charges half a dozen years old over bookkeeping misdemeanours relating to attempts to keep an affair quiet have been miraculously resurrected, despite the statute of limitations,” he said.
“With the just wonderfully coincidental timing that means a trial on these charges could happen just as the Republican primary season is kicking off and using what legal experts across the spectrum are calling a ‘novel legal theory’ to attach these misdemeanours to campaign finance laws and magically turning them into lowest-order felonies.
Innocent until proven guilty.... unless it's a Conservative in question, in which case leftists can say he's guilty of all charges right from the start. Leftists are full of hate, and don't care about 'justice' at all.
James, is full of 💩! Protecting Trump when the evidence is there for all to see, is disingenuous. All his top guys have gone to jail, time he faces the music. You have to be really thick, to still support his views!
News Corp: “I did that”
Wrong. Why does Sky think Trump deserves a free pass for his overtly illegal actions? THAT is the violation of the equal justice principle.
They only got Al Capone on tax charges in the end. I guess that shouldn’t have been prosecuted either.
34 charges no attack on justice. do the crime face the music
Well if Sky News said it it must be right I’ll lead with the Guffaws
“Book-keeping MISDEMEANOURS”? Since when are felony charges misdemeanours...34 of them. FFS another disgraceful rant from James Morrow & Sky News. More than anything I wish that Murdoch is bankrupted by Dominion & we never have to see his name again.
thought it was 'nobody is above the law'?
James why don’t YOU try... Falsifying business records Subverting campaign finance laws Cheating a State Tax system and see how weak the case is against you?
Your right the American principle “equal justice under law” and just “chucked it in the bin”. It’s never mean to apply to rich white men.
So YOU are advocating for the rich to commit crimes and get away with it because they are rich but the poor people get locked up for it?
His biggest crime was world peace
And trump is as pure as the driven snow
Murdoch’s propaganda.
James Morrow barely has abt 20k viewers, opinion irrelevant
Nobody cares what that flappy wet fish has to say
I would encourage James Morrow to go and read up on the history of ‘equal justice under law” in the US !!! It ain’t great, and their reputation ain’t great !! 🙄🙄🙄
Because he didn't let someone rich and famous get away with breaking many laws?
haha, 2 and a half century's of being racist bigots, maybe.
James Morrow is a comedian, and a bad one at that.
James morrrow…
Better go back home to America pwafork . Trump needs you! Hahaha!
Hahaha
So why do we care what someone crooked enough to work for MurdochGutterMedia (who has actively worked to undermine democracy) has to say?
Rubbish
Sky news Australia = red neck news
James Morrow was asked if he 'brushes his teeth' after he is licks Donnie Bumps arzehole?
In which case the SKY commentator has no concept of what equal justice is. Trump broke the law and this fool thinks he should not be charged. The US justice system has given Trump more leeway than any other citizen and Trump still refused to help himself. Trump is guilty.
Geez, is Sky News now pro-crime?
If USA had “equal justice under law” Trump would have been incarcerated decades ago
Murdoch’s love child Trump should be in prison MurdochRoyalCommission
James Morrow says: ffs who gives a fck what that cockwomble says
Is James advocating against the rule of law?
It’s the opposite
