In the UK and Europe, snus is legal to use but illegal to make and sell under a 1992 European Union law, although it is readily available online. Though nicotine is on the World Anti-Doping Agency’s monitoring list, it is not among the organisation’s banned substances. As such, players using snus aren’t breaking any rules other than those that may have been set internally at their clubs.
