KUALA LUMPUR, April 3 — Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s lawyer has indicated to the High Court today their representation bid to get the Attorney-General’s Chambers to drop the charges against the former prime minister for criminal breach of trust involving some RM6.64 billion in government funds paid to the International Petroleum Investment Company .

In February, the Finance Ministry had announced that two Abu Dhabi companies have agreed to settle legal proceedings involving 1Malaysia Development Berhad by paying US$1.8 billion to Malaysia. Earlier at the onset of hearing, deputy public prosecutor Muhammad Saifuddin Hashim Musaimi requested for an adjournment to today’s hearing after he indicated to court of a representation it received from the second accused in the case, former Treasury secretary-general Tan Sri Mohd Irwan Serigar Abdullah.

Huh...if there's is settlement...thats mean the problem is real....so he need to be charged because he made the false statement before

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 this prove that jib is actually the culprit....

Najib wears a suit, no handcuff, and jail clothes. Already know the double standard. A poor mother steals milk formula to feed her child gets arrested and lock up handcuffed appear in court in jail clothes. See the double standard?

If settlement can solve crime, why even have a law?

If no wrong why settle?

Like this I can become lawyer too

The settlement was made by the government and not Najib! In any case , the settlement does not absolved Najib of his criminal act.

What had A gotta do with B? Fact is CBT already happened which should not have happened in the first place

lol the bank was fined..the facts yang ko dah belanja duit tu remain unpaid?

It has to be dollars aint?

Can a thief apply for a case withdraw if the police managed to recover the stolen items?

Being a lawyer means u must have tons of imagination.

The law is becoming useless to the Public. This situation is stating it clear that the main troublemakers are rich people trying to bend the rule of law.

Hahahaha yo NajibRazak.. Crime committed..and It wasnt u who return the money....

MoF should not allow?

The rich think they can pay (or let someone else pay) their way out of the crimes they have committed. Unfortunately, the odious culture of impunity persists because the rich take care of the rich. A poor man can send no letter of representation or pay their way out of a crime!

I thought that this NajibRazak clown, educated at this joke of a place UniofNottingham, would be able to calculate that RM6.6b less RM1.8b means that he's still on the hook for a missing RM4.4b. Eaten up or stolen by Roastmeat and yananajib for sure no?
