We have to change our views of people who commit crimes. Guilty or not, prison should not be viewed as a way of isolating people from society in the name of public safety. I type that within reasonable to exclude heinous crimes(rapes, murders), sad that I have to declare that.

Some of these murder cases are certainly extremely disturbing and difficult, and should be examined on a case by case basis. However, a 16 year old that commits armed robbery should NEVER be sentenced to life in prison without parole. Come on.

The only life Mr. Brown knows is Prison life. He's been in Prison since he was 15 years old. How are they going to release him to society after 27 years in prison. His adjustment is going to be difficult.

Best of luck for them. I can’t imagine how hard of a transition that is.

States and cities are raising the age of vaping to 21 because they're afraid kids don't have the maturity to make informed decisions. Yet we're sending 15 and 16 year olds to prison for life because 'they knew what they were doing' Pick one.
