Chávez March for Justice.

Her son Julián Castro, former mayor and U.S. Housing and Urban Development secretary, recounted some of the major events of the past three years, including the COVID-19 pandemic and the reckoning on racial justice after the murder of George Floyd, and how such events brought people together. The message of unity was the theme of the day, reaffirmed in each of the speeches. It was a message that was in keeping with the motif of this year’s march: Finding life through service to others.
