Ishaku, to, as a matter of urgency, respect the court order by suspending all actions on the creation of Kwararafa chiefdom and appointment of a new Chief of Kwararafa.
The appointment which did not go down well with the people, at the time of filing this report, was observed to have begun to ignite tensions in the community. They felt sad that despite the court order, Ishaku, who is at the verge of leaving office, “wants to leave us with another crisis.” According to the Taraba State High Court order restraining the governor from creating or appointing a chief for Kwararafa chiefdom, the presiding Judge, Justice D.N. Buba, had, in his ruling, ordered the governor to “desist from appointing, installing, recognizing or coronating any person temporarily or permanently or otherwise as the substantive 3rd class chief of Kwararafa chiefdom.”
