So my brain was trying to make sense of what was happening.” “I was extremely upset,” said Paltrow, who “didn’t know if it was an intentional assault of a sexual nature” at the time.
During her questioning toward Paltrow, Sanderson’s lawyer demonstrated for the actress how the accident unfolded, according to his client's version of the facts.

There's an assumption of the risk when you go skiing. It's written on the lift ticket. Skiing is an inherently dangerous activity. So even if Paltrow did plow into him, I doubt she'd be liable unless it was gross negligence or intentional.
