Children and teens in Utah would lose access to social media apps if they don’t have parental consent and face other limits under a first-in-the-nation law designed to shield young people from the addictive platforms

But legislation has stalled on the federal level, pushing states to step in.

The wave of legislation and its focus on age verification has garnered pushback from technology companies as well as digital privacy groups known for blasting their data collection practices. Tech industry lobbyists decried the laws as unconstitutional, saying they infringe on people’s right to exercise the First Amendment online.“Utah will soon require online services to collect sensitive information about teens and families, not only to verify ages, but to verify parental relationships, like government-issued IDs and birth certificates, putting their private data at risk of breach,” said Nicole Saad Bembridge, an associate director at NetChoice, a tech lobby group.

Que the they’re gonna take our guns crowd.

Wtf

so to hell with “parental rights” and small government then? 😂

How do you enforce that?

Social media is a place young people are turning to in order to get information and spread the truth. People around the world are using social media to show the corruption of their governments. You cannot control people who are educated. Why do you think states are banning books

How do they plan on enforcing this? It is NOT the government’s job to parent.

deray the fuck....is wrong with conservatives.

Republicans need the government to tell them how to raise their kids

What, their going to lockup the kids and parents?

What?!?! Are you effing serious? Vote these dinosaurs out of office! Seriously.

Social media IS addictive and has had unentended consequences. Even my 16 year old daughter agrees and she was raosed on it, unfortunately.

Will they be arresting kids?

Now, kets do guns

And how is to work Will the 'social media' police show up at your door at 10:00 PM If you have a parent who has no idea what little Johnny is doing, what exactly do you expect the Government to do anyway Another 'feel good' piece of useless legislation...

Facism

Guess they don't have parents

NEXT UP: Utah teens lead the world in adjusting time zone & location settings on their phones.

The Great Salt Lake

Look at all those bigots patting themselves on the back 😒

We've kicked teens out of pretty much every public space available to them, now we're controlling them online in their own homes too? What are they supposed to do? And we wonder why the kids are not alright....

How is that even teachable?!? Are you going to spy on private citizens?!? Big brother needs to seriously step back

Gun laws, not so strict 😒

But the party of small government amirite?

Why?

schanoes They’ll just lie about their ages to create accounts. How would this be monitored? A friend’s seven year old granddaughter has two FB accounts and use an icon. One account says she’s twenty, the other, forty.

Ummm. so they are banned using social media while they are sleeping? What?

So just lie abt age

How do you enforce that?

how will they enforce this!? lmao

Lots of kids signing up as adults cutting off some of the anti pedophile protection kids accounts get. Neat move... Ugh.

Their Lake left the State

how do they intend to enforce this foolishness?

Surely this interferes with interstate commerce? What basis do they have to restrict speech to occur at specific hours?

The laws are stricter for children using social media than they are for guns used to kill children.

Why is Utah so weird

This is literally insane

Wonder how much tax payers money went into this?

Damn… Wow!

How about restricting guns so that children don’t die in schools ?

deray Lol, good luck with enforcing that…

They are trying to pass these digital id laws quickly before people can assess what’s happened

MinoWarrior Has anyone ever told them about VPNs?

Next step we’re living in North Korea

GOOOOOODDDD DAMN IT

But guns are cool. 🙄

So a teenager cannot use social media after 10:30pm but they can buy a firearm? Priorities I suppose 🤷‍♀️

And this law is going to be enforced how exactly? I could write a better law while blackout drunk.

The aim is to isolate children and make them easier for their parents to abuse.

Worrying about social media instead of mass shootings, only in America 🇺🇸

So much for freedom!!

Ah yes, small government eh?

By the way, this violates the 1st Amendment. I definitely see this law going to the Utah Supreme Court and being struck down….

Because... Utah.

Here is the Utah laws regarding guns. They support the 2nd Amendment! They don’t support the Constitutional 1st Amendment.

I don’t know how anyone calls the Democrats the party of the “Nanny State” with a straight face when this is what the GOP Is all about now.

home of the FREE! don't like it move to Maine.

Just like China

Oh this will be a treat to control…. Can hardly wait….

HOW ?

But don't fuck with our gun rights!

They act to restrict childrens' choice regarding internet usage, and library books, but don't ask American politicians to protect the same children from guns.

Between the hours of 1030p and 630a? Haha. This ain’t TV babe

But not guns

What!

Not an issue for the government

Lmao, good luck inforceing that. There is always some way to get around that law. Utah has a dumb Governor.

“I’ll take ‘Ways to win political brownie points with stupid voters by doing nothing” for 500, Alex”

Some 17 year olds are freshmen in college. Aside from that, I am so confused. Parents should be trusted to be in charge of what teachers teach, but can’t be trusted to monitor their kids’ social media use?

Obviously those trying to create this law know nothing about how technology works, it's laughable anyone is wasting their time trying to control this.

The guys are good at passing laws that cannot be enforced

Utah is getting exactly the laws it deserves after letting a cult run the state.

Meanwhile they'll have 24 hour access to GUNS since it's a hunting state

So it’s 16 to be married in Utah, but 18 to Snapchat after midnight. Got it.

What

Hey SpencerJCox why don’t you actually take care of the children in Utah rather than wasting this money. I found at least three or four moldy lunches and spoiled milk in the free lunches last summer. I’m so sick of living here.

deray whaaaaat? stop it. 🤣🤣🤣

what a fascist State! RepublicansAreDestroyingAmerica

this is a parent issue this does no law is needed .

How is this enforceable?

Interesting and well intentioned, but how do you apply? Of course they can but isn’t that then an abuse of privacy for families?

What are conservative politicians trying to turn the United States into a fascist one? This bullsh*t is giving North Korea.

Wait. Why would the party that believes parents should do the parenting take away this parenting right? Shouldn’t the parents get to make this decision?

why can’t they do this for school hours tho

What happened to parents know best? That’s what the GOP’s been trumpeting lately.

Gotta love small government....

So, for children that use social media to maintain relationships with family from abroad, they’re not going to be able to interact with them during their timezone

Good luck on this ground-breaking endeavor! 🤣 PoliceState Twitter

But the age of forced marriage is what, 12? Or do they even have one?

Government overreach much?

That's weird, folks learned about how they limited screen time in China and sh*t their pants

You think kids aren't smart enough to get a VPN.... mmmkay boomer.

deray People who don’t understand social media or really the internet, legislating it for kids. Kids today are digital natives, they know so much more than these conservatives think they do. TikTok users will have the workaround posted the day the law goes into effect. Bless ‘em!

deray Good luck enforcing that.

This is comical. Have they met a teen?

deray 🤣; How do they plan to enforce that?

deray We live in the dumbest fucking timeline.

deray LOL - what’s the penalty?

What if they have babies?, and they aren’t 18 yet? They’re old enough to be parents, but can’t post pictures on Facebook or IG? SocialMediaCurfew Utah

My Grandmother was 40 for 20 years. So fuck LinkedIn trying to verify my Identity.

Fuck!

deray Anytime Gail Ruzicka is in the picture you know some ignorance is being legislated.

But they can have a gun during those hours

deray If it's anything like the age gating on cannabis websites it will work perfectly 🤓

deray How are they ever going to enforce this.. teenagers are masters of doing shit they are not supposed to do

Well good luck with that.

Unenforceable, Performative silliness. The party of small government.

It's so they aren't distracted working at the plant

roybelly Those late night sub tweets in junior high hit different

They’ve wasted their time. Kids are smarter than they are and they will all have a work around by tonight.

this is gay... kids are getting killed from left and right from schools and all this guys priority is social media..pathetic

Lol. Lmao. Lololol. Get fucked. You guys deserve everything that comes next.

WTF is this BS? I understand not letting kids use social media at night but this severely remindes me of china. Are we china now? And how will the age verification work ? I dont want to give my goverment issued id to social media sites.

What!? communism much. While you’re at it might as well restrict what browser can be used and what communication channels to used in the state, like China…I believe I was in first year when I was 17.

Well, that's the dumbest thing I've heard today.

NateForUtah wat

kazweida I didn't know Utah elected Ron DeSantis's third cousin.

Prohibition doesn't work.

but weapons are available!! Kids are murdered every week but no problem.

Republican Christian sharia law imposed

This moronic law is entirely unenforceable, and is easily bypassed with a simple vpn. Leave it to utah to demonstrate how a government can practice blatant overreaching, yet still be utterly incompetent while doing so

Normally anything g restricting a person's freedom of association, even in electronic terms, would not be something I'd consider. However, judging by the time kids spend on social media sites, devaluation of actual social interaction & school based education, I think maybe yes?

😆😅😂🤣 Kids, one word, VPN. You know what to do.

Please tread on me harder daddy

Mormon in the Morning mormon in the evening mormon at supper time

So they are violating our constitutional rights.

St. George will no longer be the fastest growing metropolitan area in the US.

What are they supposed to do now during their night shift at the chemical factory

Utah officially part of China.

So parents don’t have a say about this?

I vote all social media apps should charge the State of Utah $1 for every instance of every child that does access their apps after 10:30pm.

FB also has an age requirement and kids enter wrong DOB.

oh, i can't wait to see the million ways this backfires lol

How is this enforceable?

Thanks

The party of small government except monitoring screen time for all kids.

And they plan to enforce this HOW? Especially the late night computer use?

USConst_Amend_I Would this be covered?

Good

The party of “government should be so small you don’t notice it” seemed to be everywhere in your home, schools, body limiting freedom. And the tiktok ban allows the government onto your wifi. That’s fascism.

How do they plan on enforcing

How about we let parents decide how their children spend their time.

Social media curfew. Will cops go house to house to enforce it?

What?

This won’t work, criminal children will just find away around it.

Good luck with that.

Yeah! More GOP Freedom!

These kids will be voters some day soon with long memories. JS.

Lol!!! How on earth is that remotely possible to enforce?

But kids will still be allowed to work past 1030pm, right?

Somewhere, somehow , somebody was dreaming about freedom and democracy. When he woke up, he saw the nightmare of dictatorial actions. However, this state seemed less stupid when people were active polygamists. Not enough sex is very bad for the mind.

Nanny state shit.

Like Gen Z can’t find a way around this! 😉

Kids across the country under 18 have be obtaining fake IDs for decades to get into bars. Business will be booming even more now. Or just get a VPN.

lol how do none of these fuckers know anything about technology? this is not feasible in any way, shape, or form

I don't know how this is going to work. I mean, the kid goes to school for 6 hours, then has to work an 8 hour shift down at the meatpacking plant, add in commuting time, and how are they supposed to get their homework done by 10:30?

More over reaching control from the small government party, I see. I thought parents were supposed to be handed back “control over their own family.”

Pretty sure that’s unconstitutional

Conservatives are a parody of themselves

Kids across the country under 18 have be obtaining fake IDs for decades to get into bars. Business will be booming even more now.

Nothing like wasting time and money on unenforceable legislation.

Where are the ‘parents rights’ folks griping about library books? The school experts can’t make that decision but the State can tell me how to parent my kids re SM usage?!

I wonder when he will learn it's not the states business to raise my kids.

How will they monitor this? This is republicans “small government”?

state mandated bed time next?

What a useless, and unenforceable, law.

How ridiculous

roybelly Party of small government, everyone

*Unless they are trying to order an AR-15 through social media. Right UtahGOP ?

How will this be monitored & enforced? If someone breaks the rules, then? Are neighbors to turn on neighbors? What happened to parents doing their jobs without laws telling people what they can & cannot do? How about getting the SM companies to do the job through laws & taxes?

Are we now China telling our people's children what to do now?

impossible to regulate

So a 17 year old high school senior can't use social media pass 10:30pm on a Friday or Saturday night. Yeah, that isn't happening.

Good start but the parents need to take the phones away as well. Not gonna stop the kids if the parents aren't on board.

Boy oh boy is this not gonna work

All these stupid people. How do they imagine this will be applied? It's going to require identification for all users to determine that they are not Utahans who are under 18. I won't be surprised if this gets attacked under the dormant commerce clause or full faith and credit.

How do you do that? They would have to have mass surveillance to do that and allow the goverment to monitor ppl private phones, apps and internet. Not only that laws controlling parents supervision. Wouldn’t that conflict with thier parents choose laws?

🤣😂🤣 Good luck with that💩!

The kids will find ways around this- they are much smarter than the adults as can be seen in the TikTok hearings. Embarrassing!

Would not that be up to the parents? Let me guess more Republican small government. 🙄

That sux

Fuckin Mormons

Literally doing everything but passing safety laws that would actually save and improve the lives of children. Just keep throwing random shit at the wall and see what sticks instead of using data.

Why is the government acting as parents? This is not small government.

If these parents don't think their kids who are, more than likely, a hell of a lot more tech savvy then they are, will be able to easily circumnavigate this, I don't know what to tell them.

Lmfaooooo good luck enforcing this

How in the world is this enforceable? I mean, it’s absurd.

Unconstitutional however we have no TheJusticeDept

I have news for them. Parents can set these limitations with their cell carrier since the kids are on the cell plan. Big over reach for freedumb loving “small government”

Good luck enforcing that.

SmallGovernment

Unconstitutional in my opinion. First step is for a law practice to find a test case.

So, now in addition to booze and gambling Utahans will be driving to West Wendover, Nevada for Facebook and Twitter?

And for purposes of enforcement the State of Utah would need to store your personal data ShowUsYourPapers

How's Salt Lake doing? Surely there isn't a looming environmental disaster with huge health and economic consequences for Utah.... oh.

I think China does the same thing. 😳 Little over the top people, government are not the parents 🤨

There’s no way in hell this is not going to get a lawsuit, want people to vote you out Cox? You just did it.

Nanny state.

Mormons are crazy.

'Freedumb'

Can't they ban GOP off the internet. That seems like a better idea.

They don't want kids in abusive households to be able to reach out for help when they need it

The freedom party 🙄

VPN use in Utah about to go up 100,000%

I thought they were all for freedom and letting parents decide what is best for their children.

When I was 16, I worked and had my own apartment. This was in Utah. Many people graduate from HS at 17.

Do these people actually know any teenagers?

If they really wanted to protect UT kids, they'd require Mormon Bishops to report all known pedophiles to the police. They care abt control, not abt 'protecting kids'.

And the State of Utah is requiring everyone in the state more than 14 days a year to send proof of ID to them to prove you're old enough or you will be locked out of your accounts. Everyone.

How do you implement the law?

Soon Republicans will try to tell us when to go to the bathroom.

And just HOW will they enforce that?

As if Utah can tell who's on a phone when the whole bill is in their parents name.

Looks like there will be a lot of social media users in Utah over 18 in the next several months 💀

Will this really work? SMDH

Photo op. Nothing more.

1st amendment would like a word

Regulating parental controls now?

Wait I thought republicans wanted parents to make that kind of decision not big Guvment? 🤔

SpencerJCox & the GOP have zero understanding of the laws they are enacting. Services like Apple Music, Xbox Live, Spotify, and many more all have social media aspects&could easily be incorporated into this 'law' As much as the GOP dislikes China, they sure want to be them

So a 17 year old kid is banned from using Twitter at 10:31 pm. What in the China are they doing in Utah?

How exactly would this be enforceable without violating the very freedoms you claim to love?

I thought it was about parental rights?

Is this a fuking joke?

I remember a computer game when I was a kid, Leisure Suit Larry. The game included adult content, so to prove you were old enough to play you had to answer a series of questions. Half the fun was just getting through and knowing I beat the system! But I'm sure this will work...

So much for that government overreach into your lives. How do they plan to enforce this? SWAT teams breaking into your at midnight and rounding up the kids?

What about gun laws?

Clearly, changes need to be made regarding these tech companies but I'm unconvinced the provisions detailed in this law will do any of that, are even constitutional, or at best a huge government overreach. It's performative at best, but that is what Rep legislatures do.

First amendment infringement

republicans restrict social media, but give guns out. seems legit.

likaluca Good luck enforcing Utah.

This just prompts kids to do it.

likaluca How the sweet and sour fuck is this small government?

Set aside that this is huge overreach and impossible to enforce. What exactly is this curfew supposed to achieve? Sure, sleep is important. But if that's the aim why only ban social media during those hours.

They're gonna pass a law that cancer isn't allowed in Utah amd then pat themselves on the back, 'problem solved why didn't anyone else think of this?'

this is the shit they're concentrating on instead of guns

This is wild government overreach

How in the world is that enforced? How about gun safety?

How about banning masturbating? It's ungodly you know

just ban social media sites for that entire state; ytf is the government controlling social media access at all?

So... the party of smaller government now wants to regulate the time frame in which children can view social media? Why doesn't this party regulate an ACTUAL issue? Like... healthcare or Wall Street or i don't know, the thousands of other issues out there.

What an overreach by the government,

Wow, I wish this could turn to be a federal law!

I thought you were the party of freedom, GOP. Really?

No government overreach to see here folks

Where's the bill for FoxNews viewing for people over 60?

Once Americans reach 18, they're clearly ready to handle social media. 😆 If you're gonna regulate social media 'safety', you're just gonna have to ban it altogether... along with tv and radio.

They don't know that kids know how to text 24/7. Are cell phones or the internet next...

The party of limited government, everyone!

How do you reinforce this?

The biggest of L. O. L. s. 😂😂😂 Yeah, that should stop them. 🙄😂

Ummmmm…. How are they going to enforce that?

And how are they going to police it? Illegal wiretaps?

This is a random and totally unenforceable law by a party that supposedly wants to limit government interference. There is a difference between a good idea and good governing.

But I was told that bans don't work.

I’m conservative but wtf. This is too much government involvement

How they going to enforce?

The government removing, once again, someone’s right to choose.

Gun violence is rampant- people, including many children have died or are at risk, and this shit is what the state is worried about?

They will lose in court.

The expectation is that somehow the social media company can monitor them, when parents can't do so. These lawmakers are absolutely clueless. Kids these days are smarter than their parents. utahrepublican

Yes...yes...yes...keep showing kids the example of oppression. Don't complain when these kids grow up and vote all of you out!

Small government wins again

Does anyone else besides me not see kids using VPNs to side-step this?

Good luck with that....

Good luck enforcing this.

Freedom loving republicans are kind of enough to kick open our front door and do our parenting for us. I hope they institute government bed time next! Thank you Republicans for cherishing our freedom

Good. Save the children!

The party of “ small government “ and freedom wants to make a law prohibiting my kid from using social media. I’m starting to think the whole “ stay out of personal’s person lives” line is all BS

Let’s hear it for the “small government” phonies!!

Gen Z is gonna blow all this crap up when they’re running things.

Except this will necessarily require EVERYONE to verify their age, so this law doesn't ONLY apply to people under 18.

Gee, I’m so glad there is absolutely no way kids could circumvent this…

Because for decades kids under the age of 18 never accessed drugs, alcohol, or cigarettes.

lol good luck with that

Baring the difficulty in enforcing such an ordinance, the reasoning is obvious. People learn about the church through socal media and what they learn isn’t good

So your taking parents rights? More freedom? Parents will sign on for their kids so what have u actually accomplished except more control? What right do u have to tell me when my kids can be on the media? Do u pay for my internet? These are my kids my decision not the government

I'm so glad your focused on this over our children's safety.

If they marry at 13 does this still apply?

How is this law going to be enforceable?

How is this even legal?

How in the hell is this enforced?

freedom

“Small government”

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Good luck with that one! What are you going to do, deprive kids of their parents as you lock them up for not ‘protecting their charges’ insane GOP nonsense laws!

How are they going to monitor that?

Cancel Culture is at the front & centre of Republican ideology….reminiscent of 1930’s attitude

This is unenforceable, lol. What a waste of time.

So, kids will use VPN from other states/countries. No doubt people will find a way to gain access, an idiotic waste of time and money from the taxpayers.

'We don't trust you to educate your (own) kids'.

This is absolutely bonkers. This is a parents prerogative, NOT the state. Where are the parental choice people now?

I'll let my kid use social media whenever he likes. There's nothing you'll do about it, punk

Keep Sweet and Prey and Obey. Tells you all you need to know about how the state of Utah actual feels about children.

No.

How is this going to be enforced?

China did the same but with video games lol

How exactly are they going to enforce this?

Not a single brain cell in that photograph

I'm sorry... what?

Wow weird how the Chinese government did the same thing and Republicans are copying it.

May God bless the state of Utah.

America..always on top of restricting the important things

Direct attack on their freedom of speech and once again how children are treated as second class citizens in Western Civilization.

It’s all about control ppl. That’s attempt for a digital ID. Classic opp. First kids, then all of us. 24/7. Eat bugs, own nothing and be happy.

How in the world do you enforce that?

Their problem isn’t a concern for safety, it’s kids being exposed to information and new ideas on social media. It’s hard to brainwash someone who has access to other people. If it was safety - turn on the parental controls for your computer/phone.

Kids will have no way around this I'm sure...

Good move

How are they going to enforce that shit? Will they really put kids in prison for that?

🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

It’s a good start.

So if your traveling and cross the Utah state line all social media will stop immediately until you relog in? If the kid is with his parent dont they have the right to refuse the law? How many parents leave their kids play with there phone? Does that mean they can look at porn?

Be warned: in Utah nothing good happens after 10:30pm. That’s when the Devil worship and cocaine parties start. Whatever you did at the club later won’t be seen by your kids until they’re on the school bus next morning. It’s like a movie premise.

The US is so ass backwards. Stricter laws on social media whilst Firearms is the number one cause of death for children in the United States.

Hmmm what happen when the kid lie about his/her age?

Oh look, government overreach being implemented by republicans. What a surprise!

So will the parents get fined since they’re responsible for the children in their household?

How very Gestapo of Utah. 🌊🌊🌊 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦

Does that include visitors to Park City?

This goes way too far. How will they technically enforce this?

How do you In force this?

'parents know best' and 'limited government' party strikes again.

Waiting for that knock on the door.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🥳

So much for parents' rights lmao.

Nanny state.

android mfers can probably just get an anti-utah apk of their social media apps of choice

I’m wondering who makes the big bucks trying to make this work..

These people must have nannies raising their kids

So, as a 13-year-old, I can get my parents guns and play with them. Possibly shoot someone if I had ill intention. But I can't look at social media before bedtime. I would be 18 from the age of 9. I know how to count back 18 years from 2023 and type in the correct year. DUH!!

Any chance they can add guns to that too ?

Um how?

groove_sdc And how will they know the kids are not on? Surveillance. If peopledon’t wake up …

The Small Gov’t Boneheads pretending not to be the Big Gov’t Boneheads they always complain about!

Fair enough

groove_sdc Omg the thought police. Someone said these guys are using 1984 as an instruction book rather than a cautionary tale.

The party of smaller government, everybody

Government Overreach: NOT their responsibility but the parents...

It's just frivolity. This bill is useless.

Why is the government parenting other parents children?

Whose checking this usage?

Good luck with that...Big Brother

So who is going to be verifying the age of these users

Is this just a PR stunt? How do you enforce this?

That's exactly what they are doing in Iran. It's Sure going well there.

This is sooooo bad when it comes down to probable cause🫣

Instead of the Restrict Guns Who Killing the Innocent People in School? And who's to blame? Victims? Restorative Justice for the Suspect? Bugger off...

Wtf

Every parent should be doing this, and should have been doing this. . I'm not that crazy about new laws criminalizing minor things.

This is so dumb and controlling. Why does the government get to decide this for families and kids. What if I want my kids so be able to enjoy a good social medial site when they wake up at 600 am Stay out of our homes !!!

Follow the money. Who gets the contract to monitor this situation? Futile yes but lots of money to be had instead of focusing on other issues such as healthcare, proper education, etc. parental protection apps have had work around since the kids were usually more savy.

Smiling 🤡 proud of themselves.

Cut to i8 is obviously illlogical. As young people were subject to tax, employment, marriage laws at that age. AnotherGrubbyPoliticalDeal

So we can restrict under 18's from using social media, but it's okay to carry guns 24/7.

Republicans further strip parents of oversight over their own children and make them all wards of the state when it comes to the internet. That's state ownership of all kids.

Restrict guns, not tiktok holy fuck

But they're fine with the guns. Republicans are so fucking weird

But they can have guns

Oh isn’t that the state where young teen girls marry old ass men.

Good, because I will be the first dad who will leave my son stay after hour on my account 😂 this law it is so stupid.

That ship has sailed - you will never stop young people from using social media at any time. It is part of their culture and how they communicate with each other and with the world around them.

Kids should be playing outside not glued to their screens.

And they keep changing the country and getting away with it…

Unenforceable.

They are really underestimating the kids aren’t they?! 🙄

So... how would this be enforced? Is there a provision in the law that wouldn't allow minors to buy or possess burner phones?

Well, that will make an interesting run of cases up to the Supreme Court.

But are allowed to buy AR15 24/7 😅

A step in the right direction

You guys make jokes every day from inside the White House😂

No data tracking here.

High school Kids taking AP classes better get their homework done earlier or the police will come lock you up. Very STUPID law on so many levels.

So much for parental rights...

So their window of usage is during school hours - how brilliant - NOT!!

They underestimate these kids.

Where are the 'don't tread on me' FakePatriots?

And this is not a joke?

GOP is famous for LESS government regulations but lately they have been passing laws weekly for social control in dozens states

🔹 ...if people younger then 18 could vote, would this had happen? 🙁°

How will they enforce this ?

Big 'small' government.

It's easier to get a gun

Age verification is required for anyone who wants to use social media in Utah and yet here I am with my age unverified. Come and get me SpencerJCox

Don’t I have a right to bear apps?

So kids don’t lie in Utah? 😂

This should fix everything

Freedom? I thought republicans liked letting parents be parents

Lmbo. Uhhhhhh. I am realizing how it can be a very bad thing or a very good thing.

And just how are they going to enforce this new laughable law ?

so glad theyre banning social media for kids but not tbr assualt rifles. priorities 🤦🏼‍♀️

That would go a long way in saving thousands of children, and their family. Great move.

This makes no sense.

If it was a Democratic governor signing this bill, the MAGA crowd would be screaming 'tyranny'.

What I don’t get is isn’t this the same crowd that complains about too much governmental overreach?

And how exactly will this be implemented. Kids under 18 don't exactly listen to their parents, let alone orders from the government.

So parents can’t govern there kids?

Parents job and good luck with that ..............

Just 1 more thing they are taking away our rights gop having a party so proud of you helping to murder children

Such hypocrisy
