The Nigerian Senate has confirmed the appointment of Justice Stanley Adekunle Lawal as the substantive President of the Customary Court of Appeal of the Federal Capital Territory.The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Lateef Ariwoola in October 2022 swore in Adekunle as the acting President of the Customary Court of Appeal.Lawal was born on October 20, 1959, and he hails from Ondo State, Southeest, Nigeria.
In 1994, he founded the Law Firm of Kunle Lawal & Co., where he was the Principal Partner before he was appointed a Judge of the Federal Capital Territory Customary Court of Appeal, Abuja, on June 18, 2009.Hon. Justice Stanley Adekunle Lawal is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators and the International Dispute Resolution Institute.
