Hontiveros expressed hope that the ICC's arrest warrant against Russian President Vladimir Putin would serve as a lesson to those who deny justice for the victims of former President Rodrigo Duterte’s bloody war on drugs. | JMangaluzINQ

According to the senator, Putin’s arrest warrant serves as a reminder that the world is watching.

“The arrest warrant for President Putin is a strong message to the global community that the world will not idly watch while war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity are being committed within territories of individual countries,” she said. Hontiveros said that while Moscow, Russia may deny the validity of the warrant, it still ensures that ICC member countries can arrest Putin.

“This already severely curtails movement of perpetrators. Further, Kyiv has accepted the jurisdiction of the ICC over crimes on its territory,” said the senator. The ICC has reopened its investigation of the Philippines’ war on drugs. While no one stands trial yet, many of the country’s government officials have come to Duterte’s defense.

It will Madam...

Hehe, nagawa nila mag serve ng arrest warrant kay Putin... ano kaya ang e serve nila sa isang ex-president ng isang 3rd world country?

I think it's too early to say that. Unless Mr. Putin is ACTUALLY in jail, it's empty threat by the ICC. The question is who will enforce the warrant? Russia can go to war.

Duterte is a nobody compare to Putin...kaya kayong.mga apologists ng mga mamamatay tao , STFU !!!

What people don’t realize is the implications of this arrest warrant. While russia doesn’t necessarily recognize it, ICC member countries do. So di basta basta makakalabas ng bansa si Putin. And he will be protected there. These conditions do not apply to mang kanor.

Tigas ng pagkaBobo din itong hontivirus na to

We pray for justice for all those mistakenly killed, to include drug war victims & also wrongly accused to be part of the NPA 'Bloody Sunday'

Anong connect

Kakaantok wala nabang exciting na issue?

Putin's case involves taking children from another country whiles in duterte's case, it's an internal problem that can be solved by a functioning judicial system.

When are they going to arrest ex American presidents for their war crimes for invading Iraq, Afghanistan, Libra and other war crimes in other countries!

Naivete makes one 'frolic' on the idea without really knowing what it means. 🤣🤣🤣

JMangaluzINQ NOBODY can arrest Putin.

JMangaluzINQ How ironic it is that a Philippine senator doesn't believe that our justice system is working. Or, is she just singing the same old song that she doesn't really know what the song is all about... or, even doesn't hit the notes, or, the overall harmony of the song.

JMangaluzINQ 🤣🤣🤣
