Onischuk, who wanted to use her car, pulled a gun on her, Faulkner said.She was able to convince him to unload the gun by removing the clip, but as Cowan went to leave “she saw and heard the accused put the clip back in.”

To avoid being captured on surveillance cameras, Onischuk took her to High River and dropped her off near a hotel, where Cowan was able to get medical help.Michael Andrew Onischuk, 33, has been arrested and charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder.Meanwhile, evidence in the case was delayed when Cowan went missing over the weekend.

Wilson issued a witness warrant and Faulkner returned to court Wednesday afternoon to say Cowan had been arrested shortly before 2 p.m.
