The family of Boulder King Soopers shooting victim Suzanne Fountain filed the lawsuit in Connecticut Superior Court, in the state where Sturm, Ruger and Company Inc. is headquartered.

The family of one of the 10 victims in the 2021 mass shooting at a King Soopers store in Boulder is suing Ruger, the company that manufactured the gun reportedly used by the shooter., 59, filed the lawsuit in Connecticut Superior Court, in the state where Sturm, Ruger and Company Inc. is headquartered.

The weapon is technically classified as a pistol due to barrel and stock alterations, but the lawsuit accuses Ruger of making the changes “to evade federal classification as a rifle” while still keeping “features that were chosen to maximize casualties and engineered to deliver maximum carnage with extreme efficiency.”

That’s absolutely absurd.

I think we’re on to something. Election companies suing Fox. MyPillow up again it. If cigarette companies are held responsible for idiots then gun manufacturers should be held accountable for selling a killing machine online. Time for these patriots to pay

More frivolous lawsuits. That's all we need.

Sue. Their. Family! Ruger didn't tell him to shoot anyone! The fuck!

Boulder? Yeah sounds about right

Hopefully they lose. If not they better go after knife manufacturers for stabbings!

Except that Ruger didn't do it! A sick evil person did it, but leftists, Democrats, and their graveyard-dwelling lawyers only go after deep pockets.

Too funny! I am going to sue Chicago Cutlery for selling a knife that killed a friend of mine!

Didn't Mama Cass' family sue the Virginia Ham company for her death as well?

It will be interesting to see what happens. Misleading marketing is an interesting way to go, and I think they could have a chance at getting at least a settlement. The gun was classified as a pistol, but acts like a rifle... might have a case.

Up next: Waukesha parade victims sue Ford Motor Co.

Respectfully, that's bullshit. Ruger is a fine company which holds no culpability here. And if the judge fails to dismiss this frivolous lawsuit, they will be held responsible for Ruger's legal expenses, which likely will be far more than any 'settlement' they could hope for.
