CBN’s compliance with S/Court order on old Naira notes, victory for Nigerians — Matawalle ⬇️

Matawalle stated this in a statement issued by Malam Zailani Bappa, his Special Adviser, Public Enlightenment, Media and Communications in Gusau on Monday.

According to Bappa, the Zamfara governor who is seeking re-election in the rescheduled March 18 Governorship and State Assembly poll, commended President Muhammadu Buhari for distancing his administration from any attempt to disrespect the verdict of the Supreme Court on the issue. The News Agency of Nigeria recalled that the CBN, on Monday, said the old N200, N500 and N1,000 banknotes remained legal tender till Dec. 31.

“Deposit Money Banks operating in Nigeria have been directed to comply with the Supreme Court judgment of March 3.

Fine, but what if nobody went to court? Would CBN not have been able to do the right thing without the court? Why the stubbornness, even when it was obvious people & businesses were dying due to a failed plan? What happens to Emefiele? What happens to the dead souls & businesses?
