Here’s what borrowers can do while the Supreme Court considers whether or not to allow Biden’s plan for relief to proceed.

It’s important to remember that the court may simply ignore the standing issues to rule. Or, it could find some minimal standing to move forward to the actual student loan forgiveness policy.

For borrowers, it’s important to remember that the Supreme Court isn’t judging whether providing blanket student loan forgiveness is right or wrong - but rather, the justices are deciding if the way it’s being implemented is legal based on the existing laws in place.

Canceling student loans is not the answer. Cancel the greedy lenders who have been allowed to gouge borrowers with interest rates. Loans were sold to these private lenders by the government without regard to the borrower.

They can pay their debt. That’s what they can do.

Cancel debt? It does not cancel it. It will be assigned to tax payers ultimately. These people made a decision to borrow money to get something. Have them pay it back. Warren never advances producing just taking.
