Shop staff at Pret a Manger are to receive their third pay rise in a year.
But the latest hike is to ensure the company does not fall foul of a boost to the minimum wage, which will change by law on 1 April.
Is that why everything there is now a couple of quid more. I looked to buy a almond croissant the other day and decided against it. I don't mind a bit of increase but passing it onto customers solely. Seems a bit much. Probably hurt them in long run.
