The Ogun State Police Command says it has deployed policemen and operatives of other security agencies in banks, Independent National Electoral Commission offices and other hotspots across the state to forestall a breakdown of law and order.

The police commissioner said, “This exercise is a tool of deterrent and to send a very strong message to hostile elements that this state and the security forces within this state will not tolerate any attempt to break the laws or to cause any kind of breakdown of law and order within the state.

“We are paying very close attention to the banks, we are paying very close attention to INEC facilities and other critical public infrastructure. “We are also paying very close attention to areas that we consider as hotspots and making sure we take measures to de-escalate, very timely, any attempt to cause any breach of the peace of the state.”Kindly share this story:
