Environmental campaigner Greta Thunberg was twice detained during a demonstration in support of Indigenous rights in Oslo on Wednesday.

Thunberg, holding a red, blue, yellow and green Sami flag, was lifted and carried away by police officers from the finance ministry while hundreds of demonstrators chanted slogans.

The Swedish activist, for many a global standard-bearer of the campaign to end the world’s reliance on carbon-based energy, was released along with other protesters who had also been detained. The president of Norway’s Sami parliament, an elected consultative body, will meet with the energy minister on Thursday and demand an apology before discussing a solution, she told Reuters.

Just another staggered photo op!

The evidence of this being another staged, acting event is out there. Tell the news, not your BS. Thanks!!!

Why do we care about her?

Throw her in jail for a month and fine her $100000 every time she protests. Even if it's not her money her handlers will get tired of paying sooner or later

👍🏻

If she will be constantly released hour after arrest she will learn nothing and taxpayers money are wasted in all the police force deployed to achieve what? Nothing, complete mockery of police force
