The 39-year-old has been charged over two separate incidents in which images of his private parts were allegedly sent to two females on WhatsApp

A 39-year-old Co Clare man has appeared in court charged with sending two lewd images of his penis via WhatsApp to two females.

Sgt Aiden Lonergan said that the man could be remanded on bail to appear at Ennis District Court for next week where he will face a third related charge.In the case, the man is charged with on May 1, 2021 of intentionally engaging in offensive conduct of a sexual nature by sending an image of his erect penis via WhatsApp to a female in such a manner to cause fear, distress or alarm to another person.

In evidence of arrest, charge and caution, Det Garda John O’Neill of Henry Street Garda Station, Limerick said that the accused made ‘no reply’ when charged and cautioned before court on Wednesday.
