In a letter to Garland on Tuesday, Jordan expressed his concern about the"appearance of a conflict of interest" by the DOJ in not appointing a special counsel for investigations into President Joe Biden's son."To date, you have declined to appoint a special counsel in this matter, despite appointing special counsels in other investigations. Your refusal to appoint a special counsel here is conspicuous in this context," Jordan said in the letter.
Jordan has requested the information by March 14 at 5 p.m. as part of the House Judiciary Committee's oversight of the DOJ. Jordan's calls for a special counsel to look at Hunter Biden's alleged criminal actions independently echos earlier sentiments by Republicans for separation from the Justice Department, which falls under the executive branch of which Joe Biden is the head.
There is nothing to hear about Hunter Biden. Merrick Garland shlould appoint a special counsel to investigate your inaction in Ohio where you allowed young men to be sexually assaulted.
