During the trial the jury heard the five acted as 'an out of control mob' when they set upon Mr Gibson, 52, in Carshalton Road, in the early hours of July 11 last year. Following an altercation on the doorstep of a house in Boothroyden, in which Tina Walton was injured, there was a second confrontation close to the junction with Carshalton Road.
