This is misinformation. Presidents can't make up legislations. This is in the hands of the congress, like every other legislation.

You pay WHAT YOU OWE… nothing less..

Pay your bills. You signed for it. Kinda ridiculous that someone making $125k or couple at $250k a year should get any debt support. Maybe, and just a maybe half those numbers and I may lift an eyebrow in interest.

So many people struggle to manage these debts. They’re not straight forward like a car or house loan. I don’t recommend anyone get loans until the system is fixed. My wife took out a big amount before we married. She set up a ten year plan to pay it off. After year 8, the person

One very easy way to fix the student loan structure is to apply a minimum interest rate for administrative services and put collection of the debt out of the hands of private industry and into the hands of a government structure-say the IRS but what do I know?

Sign up for income based payments and you will have the remaining balance forgiven after 20 years. Most will never pay the entire loan balance off.

Someone signed on the dotted line to be able to get this loan. I can guarantee you my name is nowhere on the loan app. I feel no responsibility to pay off the debt you signed for.

Unless EVERY adult receives the same amount of money then no one. NO JUSTICE NO PEACE!

While we pay prisoner’s 3 daily meals and lodging for a lifetime, politician’s vacations, help fund foreign wars, get taxed on everything multiple times, and so on; bitter Americans gnash their teeth because they paid their debt back when you could own two houses on minimum wage

Ron White is Correct.

Pay your debt

CRAZY CONCEPT! How bout you pay back.... (Wait for it)..... WHAT YOU BORROWED.....!!! It's called integrity and character!

The new age of age-old grifting has arrived.

You’re such leftist enablers by the way you write. 🤦🏻‍♀️

People need to pay their on debts cancelling student debt is wrong!

make community and trade colleges free instead….there is a huge demand for machinists and manufacturing and they are good paying jobs too…spending $200K to get a degree in social science is insane….

Pay what you owe. You signed up for debt. Pay the debt.

Now let's go after those PPP loans.

Hopefully everyone owes everything back! 😁👏🏼

It is going to shot by SCOTUS, rightfully so. And the people who will complain the loudest about the court won’t even realize that they have been cynically played by Biden.

Pay your bills.

Anything meant to help people and nazi-republicans immediately shut it down.

Democrats talk about fairness, but NOTHING IS FAIR about letsgobrandon TAKING TAX MONEY FROM NON-COLLEGE WORKING PEOPLE to pay for the advantaged COLLEGE GRADUATES. It's like the poor paying for the soon to be RICH!

Hopefully SCOTUS will deny this as it is nothing but shifting a debt burden from one group to another. Student loans, car loans, mortgages, credit cards are responsibility of person who agreed to take & then pay them. Not taxpayers, Blank Check Biden!

I’m sure if it was for an airline everyone would have been fine with it

Finally kill his unfair stupid lib pipe dreams

Pay. Your. Own. Debt. This is the most fundamental part of being an adult. Besides, forcing the rest of us to pay for it doesn’t do anything to address the actual issue.

Does the SCOTUS ever weigh in on the billions of dollars spent on bailing out other countries when they’re in need?

What don’t we get? It’s like the middle school elections promising chocolate milk for all. To surmise: It was a tactic to get votes.

This is not a partisan issue when polling suggest over 75% of Americans oppose debt forgiveness

I paid my student..let them pay there's. BIDEN did this to help with MidTerms..He's Worthless..This was terribly Wrong..What he Promised..I understand what these kids want but They need to earn there Way..Remember NO Matter What..They still have Degree

Just think, all this time these kids have been bitching. They could have paid a good chunk of the loan off.

Because it’s unconstitutional

Picture from DailyMail speaks for itself

Cant help our own but sure can give away to other countries

Partisan legal fight? That's an interesting way to describe the adjudication of the rule of law pertaining to congresses role in authorizing money & expenditures.

Why are these pricks against something good for the people?

Using a taxpayers hard-earned tax dollars to fund someone’s student loan when the student could get a part time job to pay it off. Come on!

It's unconstitutional. He knows it...he did it to get votes.

The colleges should be held accountable for false advertising and over charging for degrees they know dont have any ROI value. The tax payers shouldn’t be paying people’s debts

Biden sent that money to Ukraine to protect his and his son's and friends biolab ventures in Ukraine.

Republicans POUNCE yet again! Lol

In 2022 SCOTUS overturned Roe in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization and helped the DEMS in mid-terms avoid a disaster. In 2023 SCOTUS is going to deny student loan relief to 40 million Americans before the 2024 election cycle. SCOTUSblog USSupremeCourt

Unconstitutional. Now pay your debts!

How about we just pay back the money we borrowed? Relieving loan dept isn’t solving the larger issue of tuition costs which we let our universities get away with.

Biden administration pushed this damn well knowing it was going to be stalemated in the courts, why? Vote grab. They also claimed they were working on legalization of marijuana and that's turned out be another lie to get more dem votes. Y'all no better than conservatives.

Also newsworthy: today is the day pandemic issued enhanced SNAP benefits end. I’d rather help people that are food insecure than pay for people’s poor education mistakes. And to the ones that say “do both”: with what money? We’re already $33T in debt.

Pelosi said Biden had no power to do this.

Pay your own bills. 🤷‍♂️

Pay for your own worthless degrees

Policy is unconstitutional, and inflationary in both financial and credential areas. Not to mention the moral hazard.

Sounds like buying votes to me.

How could anyone even begin to argue that this is constitutional or even morally acceptable?

A 'partisan legal fight'? Lol, you guys are a joke

Who cares if it's unconstitutional and SCOTUS is bound to overturn it?

If it's such a good idea, send it through Congress like all of our tax dollars are supposed to be allocated. He couldn't even send it through a majority democrat congress last year because he knows it will fail. But he had to tell you something. So he lied.

Partisan?

Ugh this would have changed so many folks lives

You mean scam. If he cared so much like TheDemocrats, they would have shoved it in their reconciliation bills they passed when they controlled everything. But nope. This way, they can blame the court instead of themselves.
