The judge has ruled that jurors in Alex Murdaugh’s murder trial in the shooting deaths of his wife and son will get to visit the South Carolina home where the killings took place.

VIDEO: Biggest takeaways from Alex Murdaugh’s testimony in double murder trial

Lawyers for the disgraced South Carolina attorney asked for the trip to the Colleton County property called Moselle so that the jury can see the dog kennels near where the body of 52-year-old Maggie Murdaugh was found and the storage room where 22-year-old Paul Murdaugh was killed on June 7, 2021. Defense attorney Dick Harpootlian said Monday that it's important for jurors to visit the Murdaugh home to see “how small the feed room is ” and “where the feed room is compared to Maggie's body."Prosecutors told the judge that they didn't want the jury to visit because it has been 20 months since the killings and it looks different.

“If anything, that would require additional testimony because the scene is different,” Waters said on the trial's 25th day.

I thought the prosecution should have used a photo of the kennel and house to lock AM into where he says he was exactly in the house and on golf cart at kennel along with where victims were.

Going to throw this out there. He said whoever did this had been planning it for a long time. What if he has been inflating his weekly check to Cousin Eddie in order to pay for his part in killing his wife and son? They say no addict could have survived that much consumption.

Field trip!

Alex Murdaugh's defense to call final witnesses as murder trial nears its close | CNNFresh off his contentious testimony, Alex Murdaugh and his defense team are set to call their final witnesses on Monday as the disgraced attorney's murder trial pushes its way toward closing arguments. Murdaugh admitted lying about everything that could result in consequences for him. His drug use, his thefts, his obstruction of the murder investigation - everything. Now he wants a jury to believe he lied about all of that but he's not lying about killing his wife and son. What is the need to say disgraced every time you mention this guy? Trying hard to shape opinion rather than just inform. That is the difference between a fraud and a real reporter. His physical gestures tell the truth in the closing arguments.
