Baby girl's breathing tube was interfered with, trial of nurse Lucy Letby told

BBC News

The prosecution told the jury Ms Letby "interfered" with the breathing tube of Child K, who cannot be named for legal reasons, in February 2016.Manchester Crown Court heard how Child K was born at 25 weeks gestation, weighing 1lb 8oz in the early hours of the morning at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

But Ben Myers KC, defending, previously told the court the "probable cause" for the tube dislodgement was the child inadvertently moving it herself.

Again, misleading headline. If you follow the whole trial she seems innocent, hospital failings and a scape goat.

Very sad :(

The TV Doctor working in an unsafe (at least 40 years) hospital sounds really dodgy & unsafe to be around, I'll await judgement though.

I can't see how her trial can be fair with the amount of publicity being made about this case.

This woman needs hanging when this trial is done. What’s she’s done is sick! I would be terrified as a new mum leaving my baby in hospital after what this nurse has done.

Let’s get a verdict first

Is the owner of BBC Roman English or Scandinavian English?

Definitely a reason to fetch back the death penalty.

Lmaoo we don't care
