At times, his truck was taking corners so fast it almost rolled over and struck an oncoming vehicle, assistant Crown attorney Blair Hagan said.The driver then made a hard right and stopped on a lawn, she said. He also pleaded guilty to wilfully obstructing a police officer by providing a false name and four counts of failing to comply with court orders.A number of other people were there and he approached the group, Hagan said.Ontario Provincial Police stopped a vehicle on Trunk Road in Sault Ste. Marie on Feb. 11 for speeding.The court heard the accused has a criminal record but there are notable gaps in it.
Defence lawyer Ken Walker said his client has substance abuse issues, is a First Nation member and has pleaded guilty to the charges.
