A son of a late Head of State, late General Sani Abacha, Mohammed, has filed two notices of appeal before the Supreme Court requesting some reliefs.

In the two notices of appeal containing 31 grounds, Abacha equally wants the Supreme Court to set aside the Court of Appeal’s judgment and affirm that of the Federal High Court.

In December 22, 2022, Justice Abdullahi Liman of the Federal High Court, Kano, ordered INEC to recognise Abacha as the PDP governorship candidate, a decision Wali and the PDP challenged in separate appeals before the Court of Appeal, Kano. The appellate court held, among others, that Wali was the valid candidate, a decision Abacha is challenging at the Supreme Court. All rights reserved.
