The SNP leadership candidate Kate Forbes has insisted her campaign isn't over - despite losing support over her views on gay rights. Yesterday she told C4Ciaran she would have voted against same-sex marriage if she'd been in parliament.

The SNP leadership candidate Kate Forbes has insisted her campaign isn’t over – despite support draining away over her views on gay rights.

Ms Forbes – who’s a member of the evangelical Free Church of Scotland – yesterday told Channel 4 News she would have voted against same-sex marriage legislation if she’d been in parliament. Leadership rival Humza Yousaf said he’d always vote for equal marriage, while the only other candidate in the race, Ash Regan, gave her first on-camera comments to our Scotland Correspondent Ciaran Jenkins.
