The Abantu Batho Congress is joining ActionSA's litigation against eThekwini Municipality over Durban's sewage crisis. ECRNewsWatch KZN

ActionSA filed court papers late last year, saying it wants the court to compel the city to act.Speaking outside the Durban City Hall on Tuesday, ActionSA's Zwakele Mncwango said the city hasn't even filed a responding affidavit to its application.

"The municipality keeps lying to the public saying this issues is around the floods only, which is not true. Only one department has responded so far and made answering affidavits. "We must also acknowledge honesty and integrity from MEC Duma because his department didn't shy away from the truth. They made it clear that all the fault lies with the city."
