PETALING JAYA: Giving automatic citizenship to children born overseas to Malaysian mothers ensures equal rights for all Malaysians regardless of gender, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong .
Dr Wee said one of the resolutions passed at MCA AGM in December was to support amendments to the Federal Constitution on the matter of citizenship."This amendment was also included in Barisan Nasional's manifesto for the 15th General Election and was raised at the delegates' meeting of Wanita BN before the election.
