Justice Paul Rouleau’s report into the Trudeau government’s decision to use the Emergencies Act to end the so-called Freedom Convoy could come out this week

OTTAWA—Justice Paul Rouleau’s report into the Trudeau government’s decision to invoke the never-before-used Emergencies Act to end the so-called Freedom Convoy blockades last winter is expected to land on Parliament Hill this week.

The second, more specific task, was prescribed by a cabinet order that established the Rouleau commission of inquiry. The law says a public order emergency can be declared when there is a threat to the security of Canada “that is so serious as to be a national emergency.” A national emergency exists when there is an urgent and critical situation that seriously endangers the lives, health or safety of Canadians and exceeds the capacity or authority of a province to deal with it.

The Emergency Act wasn’t necessary however when the country is going to radical changes and become Nomads country you can’t expect better results. I am sure that Canadians are not aware that soon they will be called Nomads.

You are nothing but a puppet piece of 💩 and anyone who follows your horse💩 paper are supporting a fascist regime! Congrats on complying with the destruction of Canada

Stop calling it the so called… it was called THE FREEDOM CONVOY.

JenniferLiaXi Let’s hope some politicians actually get more than a wrist slap. Imagine that answering for horrendous leadership

Justice Rouleau should have claimed a Conflict of Interest before accepting this position—he is connected to the Trudeau family through marriage. How can we trust his decision or his word? We saw his actions during the POEC hearings—he is hardly unbiased.

Sadly the people of Ottawa will never get the full story because Doug and his cabinet are made up of cowards

Cabinet had bigger fish to fry than just 2 city blocks. A short list: ALL of Ottawa ALL borders-clear & keep clear plots to murder police copycats agents provocateurs sympathizers in police & army ranks requests/inaction of mayors & premiers CPC connivance CSIS advice etc.

Bailout Media regime mouthpieces still using 'so-called' a year later to insulate the proto-fascist Prime Minister.

Residents were held captive, Ford refused to admit that Ottawa was in Ontario, and others did not step up. Glad Trudeau stepped up. Residents in that area of Ottawa did not deserve the treatment they received. Convoy participants admitted to wanting to overthrow govt.

No JT just lacks any real leadership qualities - can’t face his detractors only vilifies them!

Oh give it a rest. Glad they got rid of the trash.

Someone should've told the RCMP that it was old growth logging protestors in ottawa then they would've cracked some skulls and arrested them all.

This so called judge was a member(likely still is) of the Liberal party. Pathetic attempt at a mickey mouse inquiry.

No he did not! It was a political emergency not a national one.

Lol

Because neither OttawaPolice nor ottawacity nor fordnation did their jobs at all, there was only 1 Option left to stop the 3 week abuse & harassment of Ottawa residents!! Thank goodness PMJT took action bc NO one else did!!

In the Canadian Justice System, we have seen the AG independence compromised, the RCMP Independence compromised, the Judge in the EA inquiry was hand picked by the Liberals... So it is a safe bet to expect more of the same.
