Bernice 'Bunny' Sandler, who spent her life fighting discrimination against women in education and was known as the 'Godmother of Title IX,' died Saturday of cancer at her home in Washington. She was 90.

Last night I learned of the passing of a truly remarkable leader. Having had the opportunity to engage with & learn from this extraordinary woman, I am humbled to know that her work helped paved the way for me to attain the education and career I hold dearly. ThankYouBunny

Fun fact: Richard M Nixon signed Title IX into law with the help of Republicans in Congress. 🤔
