You have to wonder why you people are going to such length to prevent a barrier on the border? I see the case for the wall..just waiting to hear why its so imperative to prevent the wall, going as far as shutting the gov down? reaIDonaldTrunp SenSchumer SpeakerPelosi

Like obumer going to war with ISIS or killing AMERICANS with drones or creating DACA or maybe Obamacare are these the powers you speak of Another scotus pick coming TAKE YOUR BEST SHOT!!!

Yes there are borders but no walls.

If Obama can declare NEA for influenza then damn sure the southern border falls under natl emergency, Trump will win AGAIN in court

These same networks refused to give Barack Obama airtime to discuss DACA because they considered it political. Must be the destruction of net neutrality for them that endeared the current pretender to them huh? Way to go networks - keep slamming that money into your pockets -

Immigrants have ZERO RIGHTS with respect to asylum under their own terms. The Refugee Act established two paths to obtain refugee status, either from abroad as a resettled refugee or if already in the U.S. as an asylum seeker. There is no right to cross the border illegally.

Not being able to fulfill a campaign promise should not be considered a a National Emergency?

quick somebody wake up RBG

the only national emergency is in the WH.

If SCOTUS does not allow Trump to terminate DACA by executive order, since it was created by an Obama executive order, then it would appear that Trump would have the ability to build the wall by declaration & it could not be stopped. It would have inferred legislative standing.

The supreme court will prove the president Right by the constitution and law

The shutdown and the dotard in the WH are the only national emergencies.

realDonaldTrump VP PressSec senatemajldr because of your bad decision to hammer USA about a wall, it does not make this our EMERGENCY! When you care, we will care!

Those borders need a wall

WHAT DOES LIAR-IN-CHIEF SAY ABOUT WHAT HIS WIFE PROCLAIMED -IS SHE A LIAR ALSO!!

Now we just need MSBNC news anchors to stop saying, when will Democrats start to feel the pressure. No, when will the media expose Trump for the liar he is and put pressure on him to open up the government.

He has the necessary authority it won’t get to SCOTUS

Like running drugs and firearms south of the border?

It'd be helpful if it was addressed by 9pm tonight.

let us check the current make up of the supreme court ... hmm. I think the president has a fighting chance there.

People voted for a wall. Paid by Mexico. Not for a wall. Paid by US. IMO that's a fairly big about-face on his campaign promise. Yet, media keeps saying that the wall is what Trump promised. They seem to ignore the Mexico part. Why?

The Supreme Electoral Court declared Nayib Bukele the winner, saying he had nearly 54 percent of the votes, with nearly 90 percent of ballots counted. Carlos Callejas of the Nationalist Republican Alliance was far behind in second with less than 32 percent, while even farther back were former Foreign Minister Hugo Martinez of the Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front and a minor party candidate. Actually, ALL rivals combined. He took 52 percent of the votes, leaving 48% for everyone else. This sounds like a good thing, right? Am just happy he woop everyone . We need a change ...

The Latest: Venezuela high court restricts opposition leaderCARACAS, Venezuela (AP) — The latest on the political and economic crisis in Venezuela (all times local): 7:20 p.m. Venezuela's Supreme Court has barred opposition leader Juan Guaido from leaving the country as international pressure mounts against the government led by President Nicolas Maduro. The move comes hours after chief prosecutor Tarek William Saab asked the government-stacked high court to restrict Guaido's movements and freeze any assets. Saab said a criminal probe into Guaido's anti-government activities has been launched but did not announce any specific charges against him. Both Saab and the Supreme Court are aligned with the embattled Maduro. Guaido is head of the opposition-controlled congress and declared himself the nation's rightful president under the constitution last week, hurling the nation into a new chapter of uncertainty. Two dozen nations, including the U.S. and some of Latin America's biggest countries, have recognized Guaido as Venezuela's interim president, while China and Russia are backing Maduro. There's no government and Maduro isn't the President. It's a regime in control and why is AP not recognizing that fact and in cahoot with Russia and China against most Western powers Finally...the real pres of Venezuela...Maduro grows some balls...the us won't dare attack your country... CyrusToulabi I hope we have a game plan ready to go in and snag this guy until things calm down... we are responsible for his safety now...We have recognized his presidency... just my opinion...

Congo's ruling coalition wins majority in national assemblyKINSHASA, Congo (AP) — The ruling coalition of Congo's outgoing President Joseph Kabila has won a large majority of national assembly seats, the electoral commission announced early Saturday, while the presidential election runner-up was poised to file a court challenge alleging fraud. The national assembly majority sharply reduces the chances of dramatic reforms under the declared presidential election winner, opposition leader Felix Tshisekedi. The election runner-up, Martin Fayulu, has accused Tshisekedi of a backroom deal with Kabila to win power in the mineral-rich nation as the ruling party candidate did poorly. They actually built that structure in the bush? When white were there, IT WAS BAD. BUT LOOK at them TODAY ... SUCH A MESS, SUCH A POVERTY ...MUCH better ? With such as results how would the so-called elected president pass the law in parliament?
