It comes as a briefing note prepared for a Leaders’ Question session in November 2010, seen by The Irish Times, shows the extent of the then Fianna Fáil government’s objection to an ombudsman report into illegal charges. She said it was surprising that none of the cases had, at that stage in 2010, gone to hearing or judgment in the High Court. Alternatively, the State could admit it was wrong and settle with the victims instead of dragging them through the courts. To date, the HSE has spent over €2 BILLION fighting in the courts.

Dear lord this Article seems 2 B defending sucessive Governments, Strategy of essentially stealing vunerable peoples money. Deliberately making it difficult for citizens to fight an injustice is not an acceptable strategy when their legal advice stated clearly they were wrong 😡
