Feb 1st 2023 at 11:28AMintroduced in the Florida legislature last week would make cruising in the left lane of a divided highway illegal. Currently, the law allows drivers to use the left lane for cruising provided that no faster traffic is approaching from the rear; the new law would mirror the"keep right except to pass" laws in other states that more stringently enforce safe lane discipline.
316.081 : On a road, street, or highway having two or more lanes allowing movement in the same direction,
Be careful what you wish for..
The only place in US i saw a cop get tailgated, honked/flashed at for going the speed limit in the left lane.... He moved, the car sped up and nothing happened..... damn i miss Florida
Not necessary, law enforcement can already pull over left lane cruisers under existing statutes under 316.
Isn’t this already illegal in many states? Enforcement is the issue.
Florida is both the craziest (Florida man) but also most sane place in the nation. Odd dichotomy
Or. Now this may seem crazy, we require better drivers Ed and more stringent license tests.
