The State paid out over €72m to criminal defence lawyers last year, according to new figures released to Newstalk.

A nice little earner for the lawsocietyire on an upward curve as usual, need to drill down & find who are the repeat criminals among others who keep the lawsocietyire in the style that they are accustomed to, who cares if they never see the light of day.

I know a great solution: let’s import tens of thousands of potentially dangerous people from countries with much higher crime rates and not do any background checks or vetting of any of them! That’s bound to slash the costs of the judicial system!
