A former Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, will on Tuesday appear again in court in the United Kingdom where he has been accused of human trafficking.

The lawmaker was in June 2022 arrested at Heathrow Airport in London after Staines Police Station received a report from a young man claiming to have been trafficked into the UK.

The young man, who made the report shortly after arriving in the UK from Nigeria, also alleged that he was made to undergo some medical tests, none of which he consented to. Ekweremadu was immediately arraigned before a Magistrate’s Court for bringing a child into the UK to harvest his organs. While the lawmaker had been in custody since June 23, his wife, Beatrice, who was arrested with him, was granted bail by a criminal court in London shortly after their arrest.

Equipping our trained health workers is good. Nevertheless, he should be released from the detention and go to court from home. Or will they compensate him after the conclusions of their court proceedings? Take heart, my thoughts and prayers are with you

How market

So it's almost coming to pass that Senator Ike Ekweremadu will most probably not be around&available for this year's general elections,&won't be able to throw his influence around for his party the PDP.What a twist of fate?It actually reinforces d assertion dat power is ephemeral

Let them extend it more so he will feel the heat mnk is feeling in DSS

Make him day cool off 4 there. Una say una nor go fix Naija abi? Na so God go day punish una

This is one of the most Selfish eastern politician I knw.. I feel no pity for him..

He never saw this coming 🎶🎶

If only our rulers have capacity for introspection, they would realise that power is transient and they must fix this country for their own benefit! Would Ekweremadu have gone through such mess if the surgery was taking place in Nigeria? They would use 50 donors without news

Nemesis is almost completely ruining this man's political life! Nearly all his political associates have forsaken him to his travail!! Such is life!

God is not mocked what ever a man sows he must reap
