TACLOBAN CITY — A lawyer and a court sheriff were shot and wounded by a man while serving a demolition order in Palo town, Leyte on Wednesday morning.
Lawyer Alexander Lacaba, 60, and Adolfo Petilla, 59, a court sheriff assigned at the Regional Trial Court Branch 43 in Tacloban City, sustained gunshot wounds on the foot and spine, respectively.Reports from the regional headquarters of the Philippine National Police based in Palo town, disclosed that at about 8 a.m., the victims, joined by some members of the local police, served a court order to demolish a property located in Barangay Cavite West, Palo.
