‘We cannot wait’: San Antonio considers cracking down on ‘bad actor’ apartment owners

District 2 Councilman Jalen McKee-Rodriguez said his office has received several calls from renters in his district who are being neglected by management companies and landlords. “These are not luxurious things that are being asked for,” he said. “This is the bare minimum. This is about respect.” Councilwomen Teri Castillo, Adriana Rocha Garcia and Ana Sandoval expressed similar sentiments at a Tuesday news conference to announce the resolution.

Community members can give input on what they want to see in the resolution at a community meeting on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in the Legacy Room of Palo Alto College’s Ozuna Library.
