The Federal Court of Appeal has dismissed the Competition Bureau’s appeal of a tribunal decision approving Rogers Communications Inc.’s proposed $20-billion takeover of Shaw Communications Inc.

The decision, which was delivered from the bench Tuesday after the bureau’s lawyers finished delivering their arguments, is a step forward for the deal, which has dragged on for nearly two years.More to come
