Elon Musk took the stand on Friday in a trial examining whether a tweet he sent in 2018 intentionally misled Tesla investors. Musk argued that his tweets don't necessarily affect stock price.

When Elon Musk posts on Twitter about Tesla, he must follow the same federal regulations that apply to corporate disclosure, the mega-billionaire acknowledged in court testimony on Friday.

The controversial Musk is entwined in yet another lawsuit, this one a class action filed by Tesla investors who claim they were financially harmed by an Aug. 7, 2018 Musk tweet that stated he had “funding secured” to take the company private at $420 a share — which indicated a deal worth about $80 billion.A federal judge on Friday rejected Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk’s bid to move or delay a trial over a misleading tweet about a potential buyout of the electric automaker.

Musk rejected the idea that there’s necessarily a link between his tweets and Tesla’s stock price. He testified that he recalled a time when he tweeted that he thought Tesla’s stock price was too high, and instead of going down, it climbed even higher.

What does that even mean?

All Musk does is exaggerate & lie. He knew he was manipulating the stock price. Instead of doing it for profit (pump & dump) it was for revenge against the short sellers driving his stock down for years. He uses stock to supplement wages for his engineers (the real geniuses).

Everyone knows the old saying 'truthful by omission'

elonmusk He needs a fact checker before he presses send. Clever power and consulting better

Elon is a mess and a liability

Lying by omission is still lying, lol.
