He is a serial liar - see fanbois, he even says as much

In todays society yes, they will believe the tweet. If it is not true, why are you tweeting it. I am a nobody, but he is a very rich man with notoriety. Yes some people will believe him. Stop lying or fudging the truth then

Actually, there is a lot of evidence that tweets matter. E.g., 53 percent of stocks exhibit both immediate and persistent impacts from returns to tweets, while 90 percent of stocks exhibit both immediate and persistent impacts from tweets to returns.

And twitter is supposed to be the source of all truth according to the guy who lies on Twitter and people should know twitter is not a place to believe in what people say.

He’s making the argument of personal agency. The thing is that we make decisions based on what information we have. He provided information. elonmusk

That lawsuit is ridiculous. Just a money grab. The best thing for Tesla investors was that it did not go private. Many made millions as the stock shot up in price to over $6,000 a share.

That excuse sounds familiar. Fuck!! Is Sidney Powell representing him?

Musk is his own source.

You shouldn't tweet stuff that os not true, and you wouldn't have to explain.

You cannot say this AND have Twitter be an official communication vehicle for $TSLA

WTF?

A rookie lawyer will destroy this argument in seconds *Exhibit: previous true tweets about TSLA* Should we assume these are all lies? Should shareholders assume he’s only lying in his tweets or other written correspondence? Will he label true tweets vs lie tweets moving forward?

.elonmusk “Just because I’m a billionaire in a position of power and owner of the company doesn’t mean I shouldn’t lie my ass off.”

If I read the verified Twitter profile of a CEO of a public company making a statement about actions he /she will take about ontheir company, I’ll take it as a fact.

“As the CEO and public face of this company I can lie, do lie, and will continue to lie, and people should not hold that against me,” is maybe not a great defense. 🤷🏻‍♂️

So he's doing the Tucker Carlson defense. How very MAGA of him.

Musk compared Justin Trudeau to Adolf Hitler in tweet over freedom of movement during Covid. Lock Musk up with Trump for promoting a genocide!

The suit sounds frivolous.

The tweet is mightier than the sword!!!! Uh oh!! Think before you tweet……

The problem with that theory is that brands, companies, and office holders use Twitter to communicate official announcements, actionable information, and official stands. Musk is a brand. Also, why else would he have tweeted it if he didn't want to influence an outcome?

Then why tweet it in the first place? Elon’s own rule is: parody/jokes must be clearly declared as parody/jokes.

People absolutely believe it.

Apparently the movie script is in the works

Hey public company CEO man: tell us you don’t understand Reg FD without telling us you don’t understand Reg FD 🤡

Dude, this is not crypto. You can get away in that world. Not with real stocks/shares. 🤡

It's remarkable how very much like Donald Trump he is.

Hey wp you made the Covington kid a rich young man!

Weird. It’s the same with me…

Actually WP tweets could be introduced as proof. I'm pretty sure damning tweets from then and Twitter period available

Elon Musk Depicted as Liar, Visionary in Tesla Tweet TrialElon Musk was alternately depicted in a San Francisco courtroom as a liar who callously jeopardized the savings of “regular people” or a well-intentioned visionary. Those descriptions emerged Wednesday in opening statements at a trial focused on a Tesla buyout that never happened. Lawyers on opposing sides drew the starkly different portraits of Musk for the nine-person jury that will hear the three-week trial. The case is focused on two August 2018 tweets that the billionaire posted on the Twitter service that he now owns. The tweets indicated that Musk had lined up the financing to take Tesla private at a time when the automaker’s stock was slumping amid production problems.
